CloudShark 2.3 - Single Sign-On, User Created API Tokens, and Wireshark 1.12.1

2 min read

CloudShark 2.3 is here! This release presents some key features that our customers have asked for and again helps lay the groundwork for even more from CloudShark in the future. Read on!

Support for single sign-on

One of the most common requests we’ve received from CloudShark customers is support for single sign-on authentication. CloudShark 2.3 will come as good news for those out there looking for new Enterprise authentication options with its support for SAML authentication, allowing users to sign in through an external identity provider to reduce the need to have separate login credentials just for CloudShark.

User created API tokens

For enterprises that have many users and groups using their CloudShark Appliance, sometimes it can be a bottleneck for administrators to create API tokens to use in CloudShark upload, search, and other features when integrating existing tools or capture locations with CloudShark. CloudShark 2.3 lets administrators give users the ability to create API tokens to make integration and use of the Wireshark plug-in even easier.

Wireshark 1.12.1 support

We make every effort to stay on track with what the great folks on the Wireshark team are brewing up next. Wireshark 1.12.1 increases the performance of CloudShark under the hood, and as always adds support for many new protocol dissectors.

That’s the meat of CloudShark 2.3. For more info, read the full release notes, and if you have not already done so start a free trial!
